As you depart the pier, you will begin noticing the extraordinary in Costa Rica. The green. The luscious… The life!
Costa Rica is a country that is described by their daily motto: Pura Vida… Pure Life!
And nowhere in this macrodiverse country, this pure life shows as it does in the Caribbean Enjoy the marvelous experience of taking the tour that will give you the opportunity to go from the water to the air… From a fabulous boat tour to crossing the “jungle” like a monkey in its habitat.
The first part of the tour is at the natural wonder of Tortuguero Canals, looking at a fantastic humid rainforest, birds and monkeys, iguanas and sloths.
As you finish the awe of these forests you will get into a much more human, yet, exciting process, the banana plantations where you will appreciate the plants, the flowers, how the fruits come out and how do they harvest them.
Once you pass by this Central American traditional plantation, and after a short bus ride, go for the adventures! Gliding through the treetops: 11 cables and 12 platforms stretched across the length of the rainforest. There are 11 cables and 12 platforms spread across the rainforest. The largest cable is 886 ft long (270 meters), reaching heights up to 260 feet (80 meters).
Here you can enjoy the excitement of the wind in your face as you fly through the rainforest witnessing some of the most spectacular views.
You will begin with lighter and shorter cables to get used to the sensation, but after the fifth platform, the trips will be more challenging and fun.
If, by any chance, you feel you cannot perform this as fear is a natural reaction to heights, know that you can get off on platform five and even on the seventh. After these, the wires get more extended and breathtaking.
As you come out of the rainforest, you will be at least a bit hungry, so we will stop at a fresh fruit stand for you to taste some of the great tropical fruits. Take some cash with you and enjoy a feast for your taste, sight, and nostrils.
On the way back, see some of the highlights of Limón Port and ask all the questions you like to understand the country and the area you just visited.
