TOURS POLITIES, TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
Your travel and / or tour arrangements
provided by Gio Tours are subject
to all the terms and conditions set
forth in this statement . Please read
this entire statement as carefully
as possible.
Gio Tours, will not give your name,
e-mail address, phone number, or postal
address to any other person that does
not pertain to your trip. This information
is strictly to assist us getting you
the information you are seeking and
to provide you with the best service.
In recommending and providing travel
services in each of our destinations,
Gio Tours, reserves accommodations
and other services through locally-based
tour operators with the appropriate
local influence.
RESERVATIONS :
A Deposit of $ 100 USD per person
is required to active a reservation
.Balance is due 30 days prior to departure
. Bookings taken within 15 days of
travel date require the same initial
activation deposit, and balance will
be due upon confirmation. Due to the
popularity of the destination ( s
), the small size of some boutique
hotels, inn and lodges, and during
certain holiday periods, additional
deposits and / or payments may be
required to continue holding the confirmed
space.
1- To guarantee a reservation, the
passengers information should be faxed
or emailed, and all the payment should
be upon confirmation.
2- Special information such as date
changes, special meals, lodging etc,
should
be written by e-mail or fax to our
office at the time of initial reservation.
3-When making a reservation, the
client should ask for written confirmation
from our Reservations Department as
a guarantee.
CANCELLATION AND REFUNS :
1- To avoid charges on One Day Tours,
written cancellations must be made
at least 24 hours in advanced ( to
the tour departure time ).
2- Charges for cancelled tours that
require lodging are subject to individual
Hotel Cancellations Policies.
3- Gio Tours, is responsible for
running a tour once information has
been received. Any tour cancellations
made 24 hours prior notice will be
charged in full ( one day tours).
4- If a passenger needs to cancel
a tour with less than 24 hours notice,
Gio Tours them the option of changing
the date of their tour .Only for regular
tours ( one day tours ). No money
will be refund.
5- Regular Tours are defined as the
one- day tours that operated by Gio
Tours.
6- In case of “ No Show “
the service will be charged according
to our regular fees.
7- Gio Tours will wait 5 minutes
for a passenger after the specific
pick up time .Then, the guide will
ask the Hotel to stamp his document
in order to prove that he was there
at the time and he will continue with
the tour. The client will be charged
as a “ no show “.
8- A cancellation made 2 weeks before
the arrival date : No charge for the
client. A cancellation made 1 week
before the arrival date : The client
will paid 50% to Gio Tours . A cancellation
made less than a week before the arrival
date : The client will paid the 100
% to Gio Tours ( subject to Hotel
Cancellation Polities ).
CHILDREN POLITIES:
1- Passengers over the age of 3 years
old will paid the normal adult fee.
2- Passengers under 3 years old are
consider infants and do not have to
paid any charge, Parents will assume
their expenses and provide their meals.
OTHER POLITICIES:
1- Gio Tours reserves the right
to change the route of any tour if
it is considered to be beneficial
to the client.
2- Gio Tours reserves the right to
exclude any participant in the tour
of his / her behaviour is in anyway
injurious to the welfare of the group.
3- In some cases Gio Tours , acts
as an agent and requires external
services from hotels, tour operators,
restaurants, transportation companies
etc. In these cases , their insurance
and cancellation policies have priority
over tours. Nevertheless , our vehicles
have the best insurance coverage allowed
by the Costa Rican government.
4- Any changes made to the itinerary
by the passenger once the trip has
commenced are the sole responsibility
of the passenger . No refunds for
unused services.
5- Passengers must carry valid passport
to travel to Costa Rica. We can not
assume responsibility for denied boarding.
6- On sight-seeing vehicles and light
aircraft, one suitcase per person
is allowed ( 25 lbs per person ) .
Gio Tours accepts no liability for
loss or damage to luggage; this is
the traveller’s responsibility.
7- We accept no responsibility for
losses or expenses caused by delays
or changes to schedules by the airlines
and / or other transportation suppliers.
We further decline responsibility
for losses or accidental expenses
incurred as a result of defaults,
sickness, weather conditions, strikes,
war, riots, insurrections or other
such similar causes. These losses
and / or expenses are the responsibility
of the traveller. No refunds for unused
services.
8- Travellers choosing to participate
in these vacation programs do so at
their own risk . Gio Tours is not
to be held responsible for injuries
, damage expenses and / or cost resulting
from accidents or accidental death
while participating in these vacation
programs .Travellers have been directed
to read these disclaimers.
